How To Maintain And Use Carbide Saw Blades

Carbide saw blade, I believe all woodworking friends know that it is the most commonly used cutting tool for woodworking work. It is generally made of tungsten-cobalt or tungsten-titanium materials. The former type of cemented carbide has better impact resistance and is also the most widely used in wood processing. The latter material is not very commonly used, but it also has its own unique effects. There are also many types of saw blades, including rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal and the most common circular saw blades. We all know that a good saw blade is of very high value and its role is also very great. Therefore, every carbide saw blade is very important. So how to maintain the saw blade and what is the correct way to use the saw blade? Let the editor explain it to you.

The First Is How To Maintain It.

1. Avoid stacking the saw blades too high horizontally, because this will cause the saw blades to easily twist and deform if left pressed for a long time. Try to place it vertically, either on one or two levels. Try to put the used saw blade back into the original box, and avoid placing it in a humid corner to prevent the saw blade from rusting.

2. If the surface of the purchased saw blade does not have special anti-rust treatment, then we need to apply anti-rust oil and other materials after use. If we find that the saw blade is a bit dull, we must not sharpen it ourselves, but return the saw blade to the original manufacturer for polishing, so as to ensure the quality of the saw blade.

3. Some manufacturers will perform secondary processing on the saw blade before leaving the factory, such as drilling holes in the saw blade. This step requires professional drilling to avoid the appearance of waste saw blades.

Then There Is The Safe Use Of Saw Blades.

1. When installing the saw blade for the first time, we must first determine the performance of the machine and the performance of the saw blade itself, and install it carefully. Avoid accidents.

2. After installing the saw blade, we must wear work protective tools according to regulations when working. Because the high-speed rotating saw blade has a very large destructive force, users must use it while ensuring their own safety.

3. If you hear abnormal noises from the saw blade during work, be sure to stop the machine immediately for inspection.

All in all, the maintenance and safe use of carbide saw blades cannot be ignored. Proper maintenance of the saw blade can increase its service life, and safe use of the saw blade can prevent user injuries. I hope the above content is helpful to everyone.
